Application Process for WLMP National Student Program Leadership Circle
- Step 1 – Make sure your WLMP Law Student membership is up to date. Not a member? No problem, you can join for free.
- Step 2 – Fill out the WLMP National Student Program Leadership Circle In-Take form.
- Step 3 – Email your current resume; and

Application Criteria for WLMP National Student Leadership Team Lead position :
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian law school;
- Be a WLMP Law Student Member in good standing;
- Complete the WLMP National Student Program Leader In-Take form;
- Submit a cover letter and current resume;
- Commitment to working as part of a team; and
- Strong organizational, communications, interpersonal and outreach skills.
Members Engagement Team Leads ( 2 openings)
Members Engagement Team Lead works closely with the WLMP National Student Leadership Circle to engage with all WLMP members across Canada and help them connect. In particular, connecting through the WLMP’s Virtual Room of Our Own Members Area.
The WLMP National Student Program Team Lead’s volunteer leadership commitment is on average between 3 to 5 volunteer hours a week.
Some of the responsibilities of the Member Engagement Team Lead includes:
- WLMP Member Outreach through our Virtual Room of Our Own Members Area;
- Onboarding and welcoming new members to the WLMP’s Virtual Room of Our Own Members Area;
- Organizing and holding WLMP Member Engagement virtual and hybrid events;
- Attending WLMP National Student Program Leadership Circle Meeting;
- Participating in WLMP National Student Program strategic planning and evaluation;
- Managing and implementing the Member Engagement strategy of the WLMP National Student Program priority plan;
- Develop and manage the member engagement volunteer committee;
- Willingness to mentor volunteers; and
- Working with the WLMP National Student Program Leaders Circle.
Communications Team Leads (2 Openings)
Communications Team Lead works closely with the WLMP National Student Leadership Circle to implement the WLMP National Student Leadership Circle Communications Plan and help all WLMP members across Canada understand the WLMP’s mission and membership offerings.
The WLMP National Student Program Team Lead’s volunteer leadership commitment is on average between 3 to 5 volunteer hours a week.
There are 2 openings for Communications Team Co-Leads.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Implementing and managing the WLMP National Student Program’s communications plan;
- Creating content for the WLMP’s social media platforms which includes interviewing WLMP members to produce member profiles and any partner profiles;
- Promoting the WLMP’s virtual and hybrid events;
- Attending WLMP National Student Program Leadership Circle Meetings;
- Participating in WLMP National Student Program strategic planning and evaluation;
- Develop and manage the member engagement volunteer committee;
- Willingness to mentor communications volunteers; and
- Working with the WLMP National Student Program Leaders Circle.
