Supporting Each Other is How We Rise Together!
This year for International Women’s Day the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (WLMP) is amplifying the work of the amazing feminist sister organizations and allies. We also encourage all our WLMP members to take this day to connect with your mentors and mentees and take the time to uplift them through community, and amplify your mentor’s and your mentee’s within your legal community.

Lead the Change – Join the WLMP’s National Student Leadership Circle

Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (WLMP) understands that not everyone has the same access to student leadership opportunities. Plus, it can be hard to balance your desire to make a difference and your busy law school life.

That’s why the WLMP offers national student leadership opportunities that allow you to lead the change from where you are. Whether at home or in your law school. Then consider applying for our two new WLMP’s National Student Leadership positions.

The Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (WLMP) stands in solidarity with and extends our support to American women, non-binary and gender nonconforming individuals who have lost and/or are at risk of losing their right to access safe abortion services in the United States. The WLMP unequivocally supports and demands access to safe reproductive healthcare options, which includes abortion care, both in Canada and abroad. Every person has the right to make decisions regarding their reproductive health. No one should be deprived of their right to choice and to make decisions regarding their body.

Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (WLMP) Statement Regarding the War in Ukraine

The Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (WLMP) supports the continued efforts of the Canadian government to impose strict sanctions on Russia. The WLMP calls on the Canadian government, and Western nations, to provide mass effort to minimize human suffering and end the invasion. This conflict has the potential for mass casualties and millions of refugees. Canada must offer humanitarian aid and provide an open, safe and welcoming route for all refugees seeking to flee the violence.
